PIEZOGRAPHY® AND PLATINUM-PALLADIUM
Malde-Ware Methodology

- Jon Cone has been providing innovative black and white inkjet techniques and methodology since 1993. He developed Piezography®, which is a brand of monochromatic inks and software that produce what is unarguably the absolute highest-standard in black and white printing. It’s primary purpose is printing black & white photographs with carbon pigments.

Price : 1500€ inclusive of tax. Reservation fee : 450€. Settlement a week before the workshop.
Material and lunch included.
Maximum group size : 5. If the minimum number of people required is not reached, the Centre may cancel the workshop.

Should the government issue emergency measures, the participants will be fully reimbursed.

• setting up of the darkroom chemistry for Malde-Ware platinum printing
• contact printing

Instructors : Patrick Borie-Duclaud and Dominique Laugé

This team has competences in traditional printing, digital black&white and colour, Piezography®, digital negatives and platinum-palladium, particularly with Malde-Ware Methodology. Both instructors assisted Jon Cone during the workshop held on the same programme at the Centre pour la photography in 2019. They keep themselves informed about the continuous progress on Piezography® made by his American team and put them to use.

Patrick Borie-Duclaud is a graduate of the Private Technical School of Photography and Audiovisual, holds a CAP in photography option laboratory. He was an assistant to several photographers in Los Angeles before founding his own advertising and industrial photography studio in Toulouse, where he worked for twenty years. He is now the European distributor of Piezography® and ConeColor® inks, as well as Japanese Awagami papers for digital printing, through its Taos Photographic website: https://taosphoto.fr/en/

Dominique Laugé is a photographer, author and instructor, who attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara (California) where he also studied Zone system with Bob Werling and Ansel Adams. He then lived first in Switzerland and then some twenty years in Milan (Italy) where he worked as a freelance photographer. In 2005, he settled in Gaillac, in the South West of France while working on landscape and still life editorial projects. He is in charge of the organization of the Photography Prize of the Fondation des Treilles and organizes workshops at the Centre pour la photographie du Château de l’Hom.
